Key Specifications
Nissan has a proud tradition of hi-tech vehicles, and this EV model showcases a wide range of infotainment and driver-assistance options. The basic model comes with Nissan Connect EV & Services (powered by SiriusXM), a steering assist, PROPilot Assist, and intelligent cruise control. The flagship model adds a manual telescopic steering wheel, charge port light and lock, and a 100kW quick-charge port.
Performance Features
The 2024 LEAF models have similar fuel consumption rates, despite the different motors. Both make 1.9 L / 100km in the city and 2.4L / 100km on highways. The LEAF SV has 147 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque, while the SV Plus delivers 214 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque. This lineup also has stabiliser bars (front and rear), vehicle dynamic control, and a traction control system.
Interior Layout and Options
Nissan kept a high level of design and comfort options for this lineup. The driver’s seat comes with an eight-way power drive seat and two-way lumbar support. Both trims have heated and telescopic steering wheels standard. The cargo space can be increased by split fold-down rear seats. All models come with cloth upholstery.
Exterior Layout and Options
You can tell the trims apart by the “PLUS” badge on the flagship model. The remaining exterior features are pretty much the same for the trims -- both run on 17-inch alloy wheels and have heated outside mirrors, LED lighting, fog lights, and an aerodynamic underbody cover.
Technology and Infotainment Features
This lineup has plenty of standard tech features to entertain you and your passengers during any drive. Both models are compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, can stream audio via Bluetooth, and have six speakers. The infotainment system is controlled via an 8-inch touchscreen display. There’s also a navigation map with over-the-air updates available.
Safety and Driver-Assistance Features
High-level safety is undoubtedly one of the key features of the new LEAF. All models count on Nissan’s advanced airbag system, which includes seat-mounted and side-passenger airbags. There’s a tire pressure monitoring system and a vehicle immobiliser feature. You can pre-set customisable alerts for speed, valet, boundary, and curfew. There’s also a stolen vehicle locator, automatic collision notification, and emergency calls available for both models.
